How Drift manages your calendar. Drift reads every calendar on the account, including free and busy windows, before it creates or changes anything, so a new event does not land on top of one you already have. Creating, editing, and deleting events all run inline without a confirmation card — the one deliberate exception to Drift’s general approval rule. An earlier version paused for approval on every calendar edit, and because each resume was a fresh turn, the same event sometimes got created more than once; running calendar writes inline is what stopped that.
"Find 30 minutes for a call with Alex this week." — Drift checks free and busy time across your calendar and proposes times that do not conflict with anything already scheduled.
"Push my dentist appointment to Friday morning." — Drift reads the existing event and moves it, rather than creating a second one.
